I've just completed a new tattoo design for my friend, Kat. Kat wanted a tattoo design that would represent her good and bad side. A lot of my work is contrasting, so this was perfect for me. Kat will get this tattoo in October - can't wait to see it!
What I'm getting up to...
I was recently commissioned to create a piece for singer Sophia Danesi to use for press materials and an album cover. Sophia's album will be out soon!
I designed my own tattoo and got it done March 2015 - since then, I've been asked a number of times to design more for other people! Very flattering when you know people will trust you to design something that will stay with them for the rest of their lives based on your own.
I'm currently working on a large piece for the ribs, featuring a Spartan and a ninja. This is quite far out of my comfort zone, but we're both happy with the progress so far.
I'll be starting a new piece soon that is more my style. Pictures to follow on both...
I'm happy to take new tattoo commissions. If you'd like a rough sketch/idea before committing, please let me know as I'm happy to accommodate.
The Grant Museum of Zoology invites people to take part in Dead Life Drawing. The staff choose unloved pieces that don't get a lot of attention and set them out to draw in the tutorial part of the session. The class was asked to use black card and chalk pencils to begin with to draw close ups. The second hour was free time - we were able to draw what we wanted with any material.
Surreal night of life drawing at Dr Sketchy's Anti-Art School at London Wonderground. Not your average life drawing class; singing from the host and performances from the models. Each session has a different set of people who perform their act before posing for 2/5/10 minute stints.
I've been to two of these sessions and I've just booked for my third and final one before it packs up for the year! Highly recommended if you can make it - last date is Monday 15th August
